Looking back on this year in my healing practice, I’m most proud of co-creating a beautiful Healing Village for families affected by the wildfires that swept through LA and neighboring SoCal communities. With the city in flames the entire month of January, it reminded me that community matters most when we're able to show up during times of real hardship. This event was the epitome of what community means to me.

 

This gathering became a true sanctuary created by the people, for the people. It served as a beacon of light during a dark time where families could receive support, nourishment and a moment to breathe again. Together, we offered a space filled with hope and resilience.

 

I’m deeply grateful for every kind soul who stepped in without hesitation. Because of the generosity of our volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who showed up with open hearts, we were able to hold meaningful space for togetherness and collective healing.

 

From free massages and haircuts to soothing sound baths, reiki sessions, nourishing meals and broth, supervised activities for the kids, and all the heartfelt conversations—every moment reflected what’s possible when our village comes together.

 

This is what it looks like to move together in love and to be our brother's keeper. Here's to setting the intention to mobilize and activate more Healing Villages in the future.
